It has been along the timeline of the shows inception that we were all living under the same roof at one point or another. Time may have revealed the fate of many of the survivors of Oceanic Flight 815, but ah, our friendship ever connected by their plunders and successes.
This is going to be way easier than trying to remember/keep track of who's Facebook status you commented on, and how many times you had to re-type your brilliant foresight, insight, and predictions of our favorite, gripping, edge of your seat show: LOST
Tonight. Exiciting. Not only the premiere launch of this blog... BUT
Richard Alperts story.
I cant even begin to predict what nuggets of information we are going to uncover tonight. I know I will be a bit behind on my next post because I am DVR the enhanced and new episode. (However if i can figure out how to view and post to this blog via my new blackberry then i may be able to atleast read what everyone wrote tonight, today, during the week during my 4am feedings)
Ok so rules? Eh?
Deadlines? neither.
Looking forward to everyones two cents!

How cool, Claudette! I have NEVER posted or followed a blog (FB doesn't count!) Great idea! So I was a little frustrated with tonight's episode. Matt was irritated with Richard's baptism and communion. Just a note from last week's episode (we also DVR the episodes and record 5 mins early and late). Does anyone else find Sawyer to be super attractive now that didn't earlier? I am watching old episodes with a friend who's just getting into LOST and now that I know more about him, I think he's hot and soooo didn't think so before! Now that I've just rambled about Sawyer being hot....it's just us reading this, right? This isn't really out there for all to see, right? ;-) Hope you all enjoyed LOST night!
ReplyDeleteLoved this episode! The past few weeks have seemed to lead nowhere, but I have been curious for so long about Richard not aging and have been wondering about his story. Do we think this is going to really be about God or is it just a red herring (or many red herrings)?

Wow Claudette, you actually made a blog! I'm extremely impressed. I haven't watched last nights episode yet so I have nothing to add but I had to comment about this blog thing of yours!
ReplyDeleteOK, first I'm still totally confused because it says I'm not following any blogs, but I'm listed as a follower here? I swear I'm not technologically stupid, but maybe I am?
ReplyDeleteAnyways, I thought last night's episode was quite good but still left me confused. I'm glad we know why Richard doesn't age and how he arrived at the island (and why the statue now only consists of a foot!). But I still have questions, such as WHO ARE the Man in Black and Jacob? And why don't they age? How did thet get to the island? And how come all Jacob has to do is touch Richard and he won't age? And why couldn't the Man in Black kill Jacob? Agh!
Meg, I have read that Jacob/Man in Black's story could be similar to that of Jacob and Esau from the Bible. I don't know if it will all come down to Christianity, but I think maybe a more general sense of good vs. evil, free will vs fate/who we are/who we are destined to be...if that makes sense.
Also, I heart Hurley.
PS: this blog looks amazing! Great job, C!
Great job on this Claudette!!
ReplyDelete***WARNING***SPOILERS***
I loved last night's episode! The whole idea of the island being a cork that keeps evil in? Awesome. SO I was thinking that the island is the man in black's prison, and Jacob is (was) sort of the warden. DId anyone notice that the directions that the man in black's (geez I wish he had a name, how about MIB) instructions to Richard on how to kill Jacob were the same as the temple guy's instructions to Sayid on how to kill MIB? How many people do you think MIB has said that to?
Theen, I heart Hurley as well.
K-10, I agree, Sawyer got hotter. :)
Theen, I'm thinking it is definitely all going back to Christianity: baptism, communion, Jacob basically heard Ricardo's confession.
ReplyDeleteI'm still a little confused about Richard's belief that they are in hell. Why would he continue on with the way things were going with Jacob this whole time if he really believed that he was dead? On the flip side, why would Jacob's death mean that he should go to the MIB (nice nickname, Melissa!)? It's not like it's Jacob's fault that he was killed - obviously Richard knows that MIB has been trying to get people to kill him for years! Another thought: why didn't the smoke monster kill Ricardo when he first got to the island? I guess that would ruin the plot completely and maybe I just shouldn't try to figure out the rhyme or reason behind the smoke monster's decision-making process ;-)
Hurley is awesome...I heard from someone when we were watching the filming that he is really nice as an actual person, similar to his character.
why didn't the smoke monster kill Ricardo when he first got to the island?
ReplyDelete_______________
My thought is that the smoke monster was looking for someone that he could manipulate. He spared Richard, tortured Richard (no food, no water, showed him his dead wife, then took her away) and then gave him a compelling reason to kill Jacob (get his wife back). Perhaps MIB saw a weak spot, a vulnerability to be exploited. Same reason for sparing Locke in Season 1 (remember we saw the same scene, smoke monster getting thisclose and then backing off). Locke was weak, never knew what to do next, always looking for direction.
On a side note: did anyone else love when Hurley gave Jack the what for. "It's not about you Jack" hahahaha. Cry baby Jack.
Oh, he's doing, or did, the same thing to Claire. It's his fault that Aaron was taken from her. Wouldn't be surprised if his end goal was to have her kill Jacob.
ReplyDeleteOkay, bed time for me :)
Sweet dreams my Lovely Gamma Girls :)
